Using Multiple Domains for Tracking

While the RevMax admin GUI is limited to your registered domain, you are able to use multiple tracking domains for your campaign links.

Remote Domains

Remote domains are domains or subdomains that do not share the same top-level domain as your primary tracking install.

For example, rmtracking.com or trk.rmtracking.com would be considered a remote domain if revmax.com was the primary top-level domain.

Setting up a Remote Domain in WHM and cPanel

  1. At the domain registrar, set the remote domain as an alias to your primary tracking domain.
  2. Log into WHM at your server.
  3. In WHM, navigate to "Server Configuration" → "Tweak Settings" → click the "Domains" tab
  4. Set "Allow Remote Domains" to ON

  5. In WHM, navigate to Account Functions → Modify an Account.
  6. Select your primary tracking domain and click the "Modify" button.
  7. Under the "Resource Limits" section, set "Parked Domains" to 1 (or the number of tracking domains you wish to use). Then click "Save".

  8. Open up cPanel for your tracking domain. ("Account Information" → "List Accounts" → click cPanel logo for the domain)
  9. Once in cPanel, click on "Aliases" in the "Domains" section.
  10. Add the domain under "Create a New Alias"
